Course Overview
The goal of this Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Leadership Course is to introduce PHA and provide instructions for the development of personnel who will be facilitating a PHA. Our hands-on, 3.5-day course will guide students through effectively facilitating PHA Studies. Enrolled students will learn technical and managerial procedures through instructor-led group discussions, as well as individualized, one-on-one direction.

Dick Baum
With over 40 years of experience in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors, Mr. Baum brings unparalleled expertise to our PHA Leadership Training Course. Throughout his distinguished career, he has conducted PHA studies for numerous major oil, gas, and petrochemical companies. Mr. Baum specializes in HAZOP/LOPA facilitation, SIL analysis, and risk management studies, providing comprehensive knowledge and practical insights to our participants.

Pricing
The cost of the 3.5-day training course is $2,000 per student.

If your organization registers 3+ students, Smith & Burgess will deduct $100 from each student's tuition cost. Email us for more information.
Insufficient Demand: We reserve the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient demand, as determined by us in our sole and absolute discretion. In this case, you will receive a full refund and/or the option to transfer the registration fee to a future course.

WHEN IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?
The final day to submit registration is about one week prior to the training start date. However, seating is limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
WILL I RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL HOURS?
Yes. Anyone who attends all three days will receive a signed certificate from the course instructor for 28 hours of professional development.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE COURSE?
This course is a mix of presentation-style lectures, hands-on workshops, and industry-specific questions & answers. Each student will receive a course manual with workshop examples. You will have access to our Wi-Fi, and we recommend that you bring your laptop.
WHERE DO I PARK?
This course will take place at Smith & Burgess's Houston Office which is located at, 7600 W Tidwell Rd., Houston, TX 77040. The training course will take place on the 3rd floor of the One Northwind Plaza Building. Parking is free and is available at the front of the building or in the garage behind the building in the "Visitor Parking" section of the One Northwind Plaza parking garage.
WILL FOOD OR DRINKS BE PROVIDED?
Smith & Burgess provides breakfast, lunch, coffee, and other beverages throughout the course for all our in-person training courses.
